Maidstone Victory Angling Society, also known as M.V.A.S is a fishing club providing access to 16 waters in Kent. M.V.A.S. has a wide variety of waters in the Maidstone area to cater for most types of fishing, from specimen hunting for Carp, to small ponds and many miles of the River Medway.
The waters available to fish with the M.V.A.S include the following:
Lakes: Aldington, Mote Park, Wierton Reservoir, Hothfield & Hinx Hill.
Ponds: Great Danes, Boxley & Hinx Hill.
Rivers: River Medway, River Beult – Cross at Hand, River Eden, River Medway at Leigh & The Beult at Hunton.
Canal: – Royal Military at Bisslington.
Day tickets are available for Mote Park, the River Medway Barming, Teston Bridge Country Park and Yalding.
Majors Fishing Lake

Majors Lakes Angling Syndicate, is based in Bearsted Maidstone. The syndicate owns a coarse fishery lake and also a fly fishing lake.
There are Carp up to 20lb+, Roach, Rudd, Barbel, Chub, Perch over 2lb, ideal for pleasure angling, and also an ideal location for some peace and quiet!

Manor Fisheries is a private syndicate venue in the beautiful countryside of Kent.
There are two well stocked specimen lakes and one mixed species lake at this fishery. The first specimen lake contains many superb specimen carp, over 30lbs+ and the larger of the two specimen lakes (Lake 2), also contains an abundance of catfish over 50lbs together with specimen carp.
The Mixed Lake 3 is a 1.6 acre "Pleasure" lake holding a wide variety of fish with masses of smaller carp (Common and Mirror to mid-doubles), Tench and Bream both over 8 lbs+, Roach, Rudd, Crucians and really good Perch.
All of these lakes have well kept natural grassy banks with lovely views of the surrounding countryside, a truly magical place to spend the day fishing.

Mansfield Farm Lake is located near Broad Oak in Kent. This is a narrow yet beautiful lake offering a variety of coarse fish but mainly Carp. Species present include Carp, Crucians, Perch, Roach and Dace.

Marshide Fishery contains two lakes covering 7.5 acres with a total of 60 swims. The lakes are currently part of Wantsum Angling Association with day tickets available.
The fishing lakes are well stocked with a variety of coarse fish including Carp to 30lb+, Tench to over 12lb, Bream, Chub, Roach, Rudd and Barbel.
The two lakes at Marshide are:
Homershams: Specimen lake with four carp reportedly over 30lb.
Scroggins Lake - Match fishing lake that holds good size tench to 12lb.

Martello Lakes was formerly known as Nickolls Pit until RKB leisure took over in 2018.
Fish stocks within Martellos is quite extensive with many silver fish present. There are reportedly large Carp to 40lb in residence also.
There are good facilities available at Martello Lakes with toilets and showers available with full disabled facilities onsite.
There is also a small club hut open to all, where you can relax and chat over events of the day.

Medway Valley Fisheries was founded in 2004 after the founders had been involved in the running of various clubs over the years. They wanted the opportunity to develop the best possible fishery and as discerning anglers themselves who enjoy all aspects of the sport and respect both fish welfare and the environment... MVF was born.
MVF aim to create fisheries and fishing lakes in Kent where quality anglers whether able bodied, junior or disabled can really enjoy both their surroundings and the friendly atmosphere whilst pursuing their passion. Membership is strictly limited to ensure that the lakes are never crowded and that you will always have a wide choice of swim.

Established in 1991 under the umbrella of a large utility company, with just one lake and 65 members, we never imagined that 25 years down the line we would have 22 lakes, a previous British carp record and a very successful Environmental Consultancy.
The club aims to create the best environment for both the wildlife and our members on its fisheries. Going the opposite way to commercialised fisheries, we are keeping MKF as a typical old school fishing club which our members love.
Most of the lakes hold a good head of 30lb carp, with a few going onwards and upwards of 50lbs. Some of the waters are well known fishing lakes in Kent renowned for their specimen tench fishing, the Milton Pan lake was featured on Martin Bowlers DVD Catching The Impossible.

Minster Lakes are farm reservoirs 7 to 8 acres in size owned by the Canterbury & District Angling Association. The first Lake you come upon is Brook Lake the other is called Jade Lake.
The two lakes are stocked specifically for pleasure angling and are both mixed fisheries. Species present include Carp to 30lb, Pike to 25lb, Tench to 9lb and Bream to 9lb as well as the usual silver fish species.

Monk Lakes is a 120-acre fishery just south of Maidstone in Kent, that encompasses all that is great about angling in Britain. The fishery has ample parking, a tackle and bait shop, a catering unit with seating area inside, with WCs.
There are 45 acres of prime water for all levels of anglers comprising two pleasure lakes, a specimen lake, four match lakes and 2000m of river bank along the River Beult.
There is a good mix of fish species between the fishing lakes and river along with some good size catfish to around 48lb and carp to well over 40lb. Barbel and Golden Tench are also present as the complex as well as the usual silver species. The Monk fishing complex boasts some of the most popular fishing lakes in Kent.
Montreal Park Lake

Montreal Park Lake is owned by the Holmesdale Angling and Conservation Society and consists of two ponds covering approximately 2 acres in size with depths of between 2 & 8 feet. Stocks include Crucian Carp, Roach, Rudd, Tench, Skimmers and a good number of small carp.
This venue is essentially a junior water, who may fish unaccompanied and as such is a great place for beginners to learn the sport. It is however, quite common to see senior members enjoying a “fun” day fishing.

For many years, Mote Park has been nationally renowned for the large Bream (often over 7lb, in large numbers), and the quality of its Roach fishing. If you are in search of that elusive 2 pounder, Mote Park offers this opportunity.
In recent years, the carp fishing has improved, with double figure fish being regularly caught. Large Pike are also present, as well as some good Tench and Perch.

Mousehole Lakes is a day ticket venue on a nine acre site including three lakes (two Specimen and one Match. A large amount of wildlife and natural woodland significantly enhance the surrounding area providing the angler with a quiet and tranquil fishing environment.
There are great facilities available at Mousehole and species present include Carp to 40lb+ and all the common silver fish species. All this makes Mousehole lakes a great venue for specimen hunters and beginners alike and as such this venue boasts some of the more sought after fishing lakes in Kent to fish.
New & Old Dowells River

This stretch of water is a narrow drainage system extending from the Royal Military Canal at Appledore and is owned by Cranbrook Angling Club. This stretch of river is around 20ft wide with average depths of between 3-6ft.
This is a real stalkers water that contains some magnificent, yet shy specimens including, Bream averaging 6lbs, Tench averaging 6lbs, Roach averaging 1lb, Carp averaging 10lbs and Pike to 20lbs.

Oakley Road Fishery it is an old farm lake situated on the busy Oakley Road in Bromley. The lake has a good number of fish to 10lb with a few good lumps in there in their 20's. There is also a variety of other species present too that makes this an ideal venue for those that can get past any traffic noise and immerse themselves into some great sport.

Oak Spring Lake is a day ticket venue in Maidstone that is family run. There are Carp known to be present in Oak Spring up to 34lb, with loads of mid 20's also frequent.
Besides Carp, Oak Spring is also a good coarse fishery with Bream, Rudd, Roach, Perch, Tench, Gudgeon and Crucians all in attendance.

At Orchard Place Farm you can surround yourself in the natural beauty of the Kent countryside, located just outside of the picturesque town of Paddock Wood, just 8 miles from Maidstone.
The fishery is open from 7am all year round and boasts some 12 lakes (9 carp and catfish lakes and 3 for match/ pleasure fishing). There is a 30 peg silver fish lake making the venue ideal for specimen hunters as well as those just starting out in the sport.
There is also a tackle shop on site and food available in peak season. The Orchard Place Farm complex are some of the most popular fishing lakes in Kent to fish. In particular the Horsmonden Fishing Lakes, holds some of Orchards prime specimens. With just 11 swims across the 2 lakes on Horsmonden, just getting the chance to fish can be challenging and booking in advance is always recommended.
Orpington & District Angling Association

The Orpington & District Angling Association (ODAA) is an angling club situated in Orpington, Kent. The club owns 2 sets of lakes known as the Ruxley Lake Complex and Laddingford, 1 stretch of the Rother & Military Canal and a couple of stretches of river situated at Penshurst.
Species present in the waters across the ODAA include Carp to 41lb, Pike to 28lb, Bream to 12lb, Tench to 9lb, Roach to 2.5lb, Perch to 4.5lb, Chub, Gudgeon, Dace & Eels.

Park Farm is a well established farm reservoir owned by Cranbrook Angling Club. The water is approx. 1½ acres in size with average depths of around 6ft . This reed lined reservoir may be small but it has some superb sized fish including a good head of Carp, Tench, beautiful Rudd, Roach and the odd jack Pike.
If it is a carp you are after, a specimen Rudd or just an evening’s float fishing for Tench, then this quiet reservoir is the perfect place to be.

A well established farm reservoir owned by Cranbrook Angling Club of about 2 acres in size average depths of around 11ft with several willow trees overhanging the water. A very good lake providing firm, level swims and a some very nice fish!
Species include mainly Tench, Perch, Roach, Bream, Rudd and Carp up to 20lb.

The River Eden is a tributary of the River Medway. The river runs from the edge of Surrey through Kent to where it flows into the Medway at Penshurst.
There are 5 main private angling clubs that own stretches of the the Eden to fish. These are the Edenbridge angling society, the Tonbridge & District Angling Society, Penshurst Angling Society, Maidstone Victory Angling Society and the Bromley & District Angling Society. Edenbridge hold stretches at Hever Castle, East Haxted, Mill farm & Penshurst. Tonbridge own one stretch at Vexor Bridge, Penshurst Angling Society holds a stretch on the edge of Penshurst, Maidstone Victory a stretch at Tonbridge and Bromley & District holds a stretch near Penshurst. The river mostly contains Chub, Roach, Bream, Perch, Pike, Gudgeon, Barbel and Bleak.

The River Medway rises in the High Weald, Sussex and flows through Tonbridge, Maidstone and the Medway conurbation in Kent, before emptying into the Thames Estuary near Sheerness, a total distance of 70 miles.
There are many clubs / angling associations that own stretches of the Medway. These include, Cranbrook & District Angling Club, Tonbridge & District Angling Society, Penshurst Angling Society, Maidstone Victory Angling Society and the Bromley & District Angling Society. There are some day ticket / free venues available to fish on the Medway which do at times change so contacting the local authority for the specific area is advised to clarify the exact locations.
Species present in the River Medway include Carp, Eels, Pike, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Barbel and Chub.

The main fishing stretch of the River Stour is owned by Cranbrook & District Angling Club. CDAA members can catch Bream of over 7lb, Rudd of 2lb 8oz, Carp to 14lb, Pike to 28lb, and 6lb plus Tench. Other species caught throughout the season include Chub, Barbel, Gudgeon, Dace, and Eels and there is an annual run of Sea Trout.
The river upstream from the Fordwich Bridge is reserved for CDAA Fly Section members only.

Rosemary Lakes is owned by Cranbrook Angling Club and is an ideal alternative for those seeking small intimate pools that are quiet and full of fish. This venue is not a specimen venue but like all these places, it’s bound to throw up some surprises!
There are three lakes in total and species include Rudd, Perch, Bream, Carp with ghost carp to 13lb, Tench and some small Catfish.

RTWAS is an angling club that offer small river and lake fishing in the beautiful countryside of Kent and East Sussex.
The venues associated with RTWAS are Ashurst, Fordcombe, Buxted Park, Hartfield to Ham Farm, River Eden to Vexour Bridge, Teston and Chafford Park.

Sam’s Lakes are set within 20 acres of flat land in the county of Kent. There are two lakes covering 6 acres with over 60 swims. Sams Lakes is also a caravan site and offers an opportunity to get away with some great fishing whilst your at it.

The Sandwich & District Angling Association is a small angling club situated in Sandwich, Kent. There are 2 lakes associated with the club known as The Reed Ponds & Swallowbrook Lake.
Reed ponds is actually two ponds and holds some quality Roach and Rudd for those who like to catch silver fish. There are also Skimmers, Tench and lots of Carp in the one to four pound bracket as well as some very large Perch. This is a great venue for those learning the art of angling.
Swallowbrook is a general coarse fishery and a popular match fishing venue. Carp and the usual silver fish are present in Swallowbrook as well as Golden Rudd and Crucians, making this a great all round fishery.

Sandwich Lakes is a day ticket fishery in East Kent situated near the Royal Cinque Port town of Sandwich in a quiet countryside setting. The complex caters for all anglers from the specialist carp angler to beginners.
Facilities include a Waterside cafe that serves both hot and cold food and snacks, Toilets a Tackle shop for bait and tackle and Rod hire.

There are lots of carp in all the pools with sizes running into mid doubles, but the majority are around the 5lb mark. Due to the high stocking levels in these waters it is a great place for match fishing, novices and youngsters.
The lakes also hold a large population of silver fish which makes this venue a great place for lots of action.

The 5 acre Scarletts lake is owned by Bromley & District Angling Society and is set in a quiet woodland setting. Species present include Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, and Perch.
This is an ancient (16th century) lake which powered furnaces once upon a time. Not a specimen venue but great for beginners.

Shirkoak Fishery is a beautiful looking fishery in Woodchurch Kent. The fishery has just one lake with many features to fish including 2 large islands with many overhanging plants and shrubs.
The lake is stocked with a large head of Common and Mirror Carp with 15lb carp often being caught each day. There are also four large Mirror Carp that are over 30lbs. Other fish species at Shirkoak lake include Chub, Bream, Tench, Roach and Rudd.

A stunning fishing complex close to jct4 of the M20 in the heart of Kent. The complex boasts over 20, 30lb carp with two known to be caught at over 40lb.
The Spiderhall Syndicate is extremely hard to get into with a waiting list spanning over 5 years.
If you are fortunate to become a member then some stunning Carp are to be had across the three lake complex.
Spring Hill Trout Waters

Spring Hill Trout Waters are scenically located in a valley in Brenchley Wood near Matfield in Kent. The fishery consists of three clear spring fed waters which are stocked with top quality Rainbow and Brown Trout.
The main lake is stocked with both Rainbow and Brown trout. The Spring and Brown Ponds are exclusively Brown Trout.
Facilities include a lodge, toilet, sale of terminal tackle and rod hire. Tea and coffee is available as well as other refreshments to purchase.

St Andrews Lake is just under 80 acres in size and currently holds approximately 500 fish.
There is lots mystery regarding the stock but from viewings and past captures there is approx. 30 fish over 20lb and a current lake record of over 41lb caught in 2016.
This lake provides great ice free winter sport when all other lakes shutdown.
Strawberry Fields Carp Fishing Lakes

Strawberry fields is located in the heart of the kent countryside, just outside the spa town of Tunbridge Wells.
Predominantly a Carp venue, the two lakes contain some of the biggest fish in the south east and some great stock fish for the not so adventurous angler. All anglers of differing abilities are welcome and all the bailiffs and regulars are all at hand to offer advice and to make sure that your tackle is up to spec to cater for the odd 40lber.
Carp over 60lb have frequented these waters! and as such this venue is one of the most sought after fishing lakes in Kent to fish today.

Stonar Lake is a large lake owned by Canterbury & District Angling Association. This venue has deep water with steep banks in places. Not an easy water, but the fish are worth catching with Carp to 35lb+.
The general fishing in the lake is developing well with good catches of carp, tench, rudd and a few roach and bream.

Surrenden Lakes is a coarse fishing venue located near Bethersden, Ashford. This is a members only water comprising of 3 lakes with a variety of species.

Situated in a picturesque and peaceful location in the Weald of Kent, just a few minutes from the thriving town of Tenterden. There are 3 lakes totalling 5.5 acres of water. All the lakes have large retainer baskets placed around the banks in which anglers can put their fish and select their limit at the end of the fishing session.
There is a maximum of 10 fish that can be caught per permit. Alternatively, anglers can return fish directly to the water. In this way a successful ‘catch and release’ system has been developed.
All 3 lakes are stocked regularly with Rainbow, Blues & Brown Trout, ranging in size from 3lbs to 12lbs.

The Willows Angling Centre (formerly known as Bax Farm fishery) consists of 4 lakes and a stream. The fishery is popular with both carp and coarse anglers who enjoy the opportunity to catch many species of fish. Night fishing is permitted on this venue and there is a well stocked tackle shop and good food available on site.
Farm Lake - is ideal for beginners with a wide variety of fish up to 4lb in weight.
Pan Lake - Holds some beautiful looking carp to 18lb alongside some Barbel and Tench.
Specimen Lake - Holds a good head of carp to over 30lb.
Stream - 30 foot wide stream with a wide variety of fish including carp to 20lb.

The Society was formed in January 1875 under the title of ‘The Tonbridge Angling Club & Fish Preservation Society’. It’s avowed objectives were to provide sport for it’s members and to prevent poaching and netting of the Medway.

Tricklebrook fishery consists of three very well stocked coarse fishing lakes, a new 4 acre specimen Carp lake, a long established 4 acre specimen lake stocked with some big fish and a 1 acre match fishing lake.
Tricklebrooks newly opened specimen Carp lake is well stocked with a variety of fighting fit Carp up to and over the 30lbs mark. In the main specimen lake you'll catch a variety of species, Carp in the 20lbs plus range and around a dozen 30lbs plus fish including a couple of Carp weighing in over 40lbs. In addition there are Catfish to 30lb and Perch weighing up to 6lbs. The match lake is available for float fisherman and novices is also well stocked with a variety of fish species weighing up to 28lbs. All lakes include Roach, Grass Carp, Tench and the odd surprise!

The Thameside Works Angling Preservation Society (TWAPS) is a fishing club situated in North West Kent and manages several fishing lakes and a stretch of river on behalf of it’s membership.
Waters available to fish with the TWAPS membership include:
Blue Lake – Northfleet, Campanile – Dartford, Cobham Lakes, Inn on the Lake, Paddock Wood and Shorne Country Park.

Windsurf Gravel Pit

The Windsurf gravel pit just outside Lydd is about 8 acres in size with depths of 6ft to 10ft deep and is owned by cranbrook angling club. As you'd expect from a gravel pit there are many features including bars, troughs, shallows, snags and marginal reeds.
There is a good stock of Carp to 33lb, Tench to 12lb, Bream to 16.5lb plus specimen Rudd and Roach along with Eels and a few Perch and Pike.
