Fishing games on Android
3DCarp
Well a fishing game with ‘carp’ in can’t be bad, can it? As the name suggests you play this game in first person with the rod in your hand as you attempt to catch some fish. It might set you back a couple of quid, but hey for a fishing game with bait boats, bite alarms and eight different venues, it’s not too dissimilar to real life?

Ace Fishing: Wild Catch
As you play this fishing game you will gain points so you can upgrade your tackle, again this sounds suspiciously like real life to us! There might be the odd annoying pop up, but for a free fishing game it is pretty decent. You can even compete with your mates on a global leader board

Fishing Hook
Ok so we doubt you’ve been carp fishing in a boat, but if you want to bob over the waves without any fear of danger then this might be the fishing game for you. Unlike your bait, this game is free, and is pretty realistic in looks. The game play might become a little bit boring after a time, but hopefully by that point the weather will have cleared (or the Mrs has gone out) winner winner chicken dinner!

Let’s Fish
If you are used to some gentle bank side ribbing by your mates then this fishing game will be perfect as it you can play against other people. There is quite a lot of fish and tackle in this game so it’s unlikely you will get through it in one sitting. Keep your catches in a diary and hunt for ‘challenge fish’… Just don’t put the pictures of the specimens you catch up on the wall… That’d be a little bit sad. You can check this game out in the video below.

My Fishing World
If ultra-realistic settings are your thing then as fishing games go, this is really good. The locations change in weather and time of day and look quite realistic. If the weather has taken a turn for the worse in real life make your way to a tropical island. You can even chat to other users as you play, don’t be too loud though you’ll scare the fish… Sorry we got carried away with the realism there, we kept forgetting it’s just a fishing game.

Rapala Fishing
Well Rapala make lures, but it turns out they make a fishing game too! Who would’ve thought? If you are bored of realism then you might just want a fishing game that is a little bit more ‘arcadey’. If you are the competitive type then you can take part in the daily tournaments. This fishing game is more geared around lure fishing, but then that said if you haven’t tried it, it might just whet your appetite for the real thing.

Ultimate Fishing Simulator
Well the title is a strong claim and when we started this fishing game, we were dubious. But actually, it’s really very good. We aren’t so sure on the choice of venues… Who would’ve known you can find such big fish at a venue next to the centre of Paris and New York! It gives you something nice to look at anyway. If you are trying to scratch your fishing itch, then you aren’t going to get a much more realistic fishing game than this. If you want to see what it looks like check out the video below…Article continues after advertisement
Fly Fishing Simulator HD
Maybe you are slightly more refined and want to stand in a babbling brook? Fly fishing simulator HD is a fishing game that has been praised for its realistic mechanics and lifelike atmosphere… Its just a shame you are sat in the office. You can select different flies, cast to different locations and even take a guide with you!
