#1. Poachers Hideaway

Poachers Hideaway is a relaxing holiday retreat tucked away in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Formerly a run-down sheep farm, the hideaway has been converted into a series of six beautiful cottages. Many of which have stunning views over the Lincolnshire countryside and even Tattershall castle!

That said, you'll be too busy watching a float. The lake on the grounds is stocked with hard fighting bream, tench and the odd brown trout!

The star of the show is the carp which grow up to an impressive 25lb! There is even an atrium-style glass lodge where other members of your party can sit without being subject to the elements.

When we said pet-friendly log cabins with fishing, we meant it. Dogs are permitted on the site, with one exception. The owners kindly ask that 'fighting breeds' are left at home.

#2. Olivemead Lake

If you are looking for a carp holiday with pets, then Olivemead lake offers plenty of opportunities.

You'll find a selection of four lodges, all with their own unique style. All of the lodges sit on the lake, which was formerly a clay pit.

This fishing venue was renovated and adapted in 2008 to make it much more carp friendly.
The lodges themselves are quaint and comfortable.

Some feature solid fuel burners, perfect for relaxing in front of after a hard days fishing. There is also the option to pitch a bivvy outside several of these cabins (although it seems shameful to neglect such comfortable accommodation).

The venue itself, at 3 acres, is really manageable. And the good news is that you will be showing your bait to some decent-sized specimens. And by 'specimens', we mean fish that are approaching the 50lb mark!

According to the venue owner, per acre, this venue could hold more double-figure carp than any other day ticket water in the country!

#3. Cofton Holidays

Cofton, you had us at 'Devon' and 'hot tub' and ‘fishing’. For a truly luxurious fishing experience, Cofton holidays fishing lodges might just be the place to go.

They pride themselves on their lodges being finished to an extremely high standard. While they aren't located right on the water, it is only a short 5-minute walk until you are in angling heaven.

The dog-friendly lodges are extremely comfortable, and most come with an outdoor hot tub.

The lodges aren't the only thing that will have you cooing with delight. You'll have plenty of choices when it comes to fishing too.

This venue features five lakes with over seventy-one pegs! While some may opt to track down a few monster carp, there is also the option of fishing for several other species.

The site also features a well-stocked tackle shop and even the option for fishing lessons… Get the Mrs involved!

#4. Woodlake Park

When we said pet-friendly log cabins (with fishing), we had this in mind.

These timber-framed fishing cabins feel really homely and luxurious. Depending on your choice, you'll be able to comfortably sleep between two and eight people (and the dog, too!).

All of the cabins feature a fully fitted kitchen and spacious open plan living areas.

The best bit?

Many of the lodges include a private fishing swim! And with five lakes, you are going to be spoiled for choice.

Several of the lakes promise to hold carp topping 40lbs! Some of which are only available to residents, so you won't be facing any competition!

Ideally, you'll want to be fishing on Cabin Lake to take advantage of your own private veranda.

#5. Fairwood Lakes

A holiday retreat with fishing included? Sounds like our idea of heaven.

Fairwood Lakes offers a 'fish while you stay' pass. Regardless of what accommodation you go for, it will be a trip to remember (we'd opt for the hot tub lodge).

The standout accommodation of Fairwood lakes is the floating lodge. A cabin located in the middle of the lake, step outside the sliding doors, and you are at your swim. It's also a rather nice place to relax and have a glass of wine in the evening!

If floating lodges aren't your thing, there are 4 other options, including an outdoor hot tub jacuzzi.

With regards to pet-friendly fishing, you'll find plenty to keep you occupied.

The lakes are well stocked with various species, including huge bream, perch, pike, roach, chub, and of course pike, which are beginning to push the 30lb mark.

And if the fish aren't biting, there is always the Salisbury countryside to explore on a walk with the dog.

#6. Lodge on a Lake (Cefn Mably Lakes)

Cefn Mably lakes are pleasing to the eye and promise to put a bend in your rod.

They represent some of the best pet-friendly log cabins with fishing, hands down. Only a short hop from Cardiff, you'll find these wooden lodges perch alongside the very water you will be fishing.

Some even feature their own private patio area, so you can be out of the shower and fishing in about 2 minutes flat!

Speaking of fishing (which is why you are here), Spring Lake began life as a trout fishing lake before huge carp were introduced in 2011.

Most of the smaller 'bits' are removed, allowing the carp the opportunity to grow considerably.

With over forty fish pushing the 20lb mark, there'll be plenty to go at. Suppose you are looking at fishing from your pet-friendly cabin.

In that case, we advise opting for either the Osprey or Kingfisher cabins. There are other lakes on-site, but these are a short walk… Take the dog with you!

#7. Brook Meadow

Brook meadows specify on their website that the majority of their lodges for fishing are pet friendly. Which is a great start!

Aside from the spacious, light and really comfortable cabins, you'll have access to some of the best fishing in the area.

The 5-acre lake is full of big carp, tench and perch. The best bit? Your ticket is included in the cost of your lodge stay, making it really great value.

Aside from your own private cabin, the venue also features a fishing lodge and an on-site fishing shop offering effective baits and refreshments for anglers.

The large lake is teardrop-shaped with a large crescent island in the middle. The bay formed by the island has been known to hold some monster fish up to 30lb+

#8. Eye Kettleby Lakes

We know what it is like when you are trying to book a pet-friendly log cabin, with fishing included…

Often your options are limited. Well, here is the answer. If you are looking at a range of options, Eye Kettleby lakes offer a broad range.

Be selective about your lodge, and you'll be able to fish and bring pets along too! Many of these comfortable lodges also feature their own private hot tub.

The choice doesn't stop at the lodges either. You'll be able to fish a total of 9 separate lakes, all with their unique features and foibles.

If you are after a big carp, you'd be best advised to make a beeline for lake two.

This is the 'specimen' lake, and while it only covers two acres, it holds a head of carp, some of which are big. Keep your eyes out for 'big chief'. At 30lb, he'll definitely put your gear to the test.

#9. Tinney Waters

There's something in the water in Devon! Here's another great suggestion for a pet-friendly log cabin with fishing.

Tinney Waters allow you to pick between smaller lodges or even a whole cottage as you escape on a fishing retreat.

As with many of our suggestions, you'll also have access to a private hot tub!

The three lakes spanning the venue feature a mix of species. Both hardcore carp anglers and those who occasionally prefer to drown maggots will have a great time.

The carp are well into double figures and live alongside perch, skimmers, bream and rudd.

For the true specimen hunters, Middle Lake holds the biggest fish.

#10. Wold View Fisheries

Another one of the best fisheries in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Wold view fisheries have gone to substantial expense to renovate their pet-friendly fishing lodges and make your experience as comfortable as possible.

You'll find 7 sizeable lakes holding sizeable fish to match. These all look over the beautiful rolling countryside and are punctuated by cabins finished to an exceptionally high standard.

You'll be spoiled for choice when it comes to species too. Each lake houses a mixture of different species, including a few F1's to boot!

There are a decent number of pegs on each lake too, so there is no chance of feeling overcrowded.

If you want to spend the day hunting specimens, our top suggestion is to head to 'Island' lake. Known for holding big mirrors and a few 'surprise' fish.

#11. Fields End Water

For something slightly smaller and more purpose-built, be sure to pay Fields End water a visit.

The venue is formed by a figure-of-eight shaped lake punctuated with pet-friendly cabins along the bank.

To supplement this, there are also two other venues within a short walk. Both 'the pit' and 'the pool' offer a roomy expanse where you can fish to your heart's content.

The venue also features a small shop where you can buy bait. From there, it's a small stroll (with dog in tow) down to one of the 50 or so pegs that are dotted along the bank affording you plenty of room in peace and tranquillity.

Accommodation is entirely your choice. You could opt for a pet-friendly log cabin for fishing, or alternatively, make the most of a caravan pitch, or even try your hand at glamping!

#12. York Lakeside Lodges

If you choose a pet-friendly log cabin for fishing, you'll be heartened to hear that these are the real deal.

In fact, all of these lodges are named after various wood types, which should give you some idea of the look and layout.

Whether you are sleeping 2 or 8 (dog included), you'll find something at York Lakeside Lodges.

Aside from being extremely comfortable, most feature their own private peg and choose wisely. You'll even find a sauna and maybe even a jacuzzi.

When it comes to fishing, there's plenty to keep you going. The 10-acre lake houses many species, including carp, bream, tench and pike.

By their own admission, the fishing is 'challenging', so if you are tired of catching silver fish, it could be just the place to target a monster.
